JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a hard-working Concrete Finisher to join our team. You must have at least one year of landscape or construction experience, preferably working with concrete. Our ideal candidate is proficient with industry tools, such as a power trowel, and has experience with rebar and steel plates. You also need to communicate effectively on a team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • High school diploma or GED certificate

Education

  • High school diploma or GED certificate

Licenses or Certification

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Specialized Skills

  • Familiar with proper handling of materials and equipment

  • Constantly required to drive a vehicle independently, during all times of day and night, and in inclement weather conditions
  • Constantly required to talk, hear, see, and sit
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk
  • Must be able to see at close vision, distant vision, peripherally, have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focus
  • Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Frequently required to twist, climb and balance on surfaces that may be elevated, narrow and/or slippery
  • Occasionally required to reach, bend, and crouch
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Mid to high level stress. Fast-paced work environment.
  • Frequent to constant erratic and extended work hours, depending on seasonal necessity
  • Constant evaluation and adjustment of priorities
  • Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in extreme weather conditions
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Occasionally exposed to loud noise levels

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Review project plans and location of the concrete pour
  • Gather and inspect equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Install rebar or concrete forms as needed
  • Communicate with the concrete team about the timing and completion of each phase of the project
  • Use power trowels and vibrating screeds to smooth freshly poured concrete
  • Check the finished product to make sure it meets specifications
  • Follow all industry and governmental safety protocols
  • Maintain equipment and make repairs when necessary

Pay range: $25.00 - $27.00
